City Council Redistricting Process Continues

Redistricting for Baltimore City is the process of dividing the City into districts of approximately equal population for the election of members to serve on the City Council. The Mayor and City Council are responsible for redrawing city council districts. Baltimore redistricts every 10 years after the decennial census is completed.

On Thursday, February 8, John T. Willis, consulting attorney for redistricting, addressed the Redistricting Committee on issues related to the redistricting process. Click HERE to view the full briefing packet presented to the Committee, including the Plan of Action for the redistricting process.

The full City Council will hold multiple hearings and worksessions to discuss the Mayor's plan.  Remaining scheduled sessions include:
